Qc-Ca Relations (Two)

First of all, excuse my errors, it is early morning and I would still be sleeping if it wasn't for the coffee in my hand plus the philosophic presentation I must do this morning at my local university. Add to this that english is not my first language, you will understand that I mean no disrespect. Thank you.

If I must say something about english, well, it's a very simple and usefull language. Particulary today because USA is the number one power in te world... for now. English is not hard to learn and I like to be able to listen to movies in their original languages and most of the time, it is the same for video games (I don't like french traductions unless it is traducted in Quebec, I am not the only one to think that people from France do not make good traductions of the english language. There is a lot of english speaking musiciens who are doing very good music and there are geniuses among english speaking writers, scientists, researchers, etc. But I must also say that there are some who totally suck, just like everywhere in this poor world of ours...

I could say exactly the same things above about my language: French. There is only one thing I connot repeat: french is not easy to learn, french is a dificult language to learn. It is a beautifull, precise and rich language but with a lot more verb tenses, exceptions, words that look alike but have totally different meanning. It is a language of wich I love and I am very prood to speak, read, write and listen. I believe that most english-speaking canadians don't understand why it is like that to us, quebecers. After all, we missed the opportunity to do the independance war with americans, you kicked our ass in the Patriot's Rebellions of 1837-1838, you crushed the FLQ movement with your army, we did two referendums for sovereignty wich where rejected. But, you played on our back, making a constitution without us, seeing us merely as a conquered population, a cultural minority in Canada to assimilate, and now you have your conservative pary as the majority party (I don't know of you say that) even if they have the opposition of 60% of population and a massive opposition from Quebec. You are showing to us that you don't need Quebec to do politics, wich I must agree because I belive we don't need Canada to do our politics.

In my last message, I said that I am a sovereigntist (again I am not sure you say it that way) but I am not for total independance that would mean total isolation, but I must protect my culture, my language and I must help develop its ideas and expertises. A country means a lot to a majority of quebecers... unfortunately, the movement is divided for many reasons: some are afraid that you or USA would invade our unprotected ground, more are afraid to lose a lot of money (those are mostly our elders), many people disagree on how we should build our own country, etc. But most intelectuals see that there is no reasons to be afraid, I am one of them. We are sick of the actual political system and I know a lot of you are too.

I see Harper as a neo-fascist neo-liberalist bastard, I see the queen as a useless slut, religion as a mere tool of domination for those holding powers  and I do not see why I should call this joke of a system ''democracy''. Democracy means power to the people! It is more like ''power to the rich and the political partys''. That is totally nonsense for us... like a lot of other things you do or believe (according to the fact you elected Stephen Harper, a man with no more education than an economic master, a religious fanatic who wants to promote war and exploitation of the weaks).

You should try and make a real effort in the understanding of quebecer's culture, motivations and ideas because what we are today is a well instructed place with a cold winter making it's people warm and friendly to strangers. Most of us can speak english a least a little wich is more than a lot of canadiens who are supposed to learn french.

I want to finish this article by adding this: A lot of your kinfolks shared our ideas when we fought imperialism in 1837-1838, there are battles today we could fight together again... as TWO EQUAL COUNTRIES!
